Waymon was a member of Temple of Faith COGIC, Atlanta, Georgia, Bishop Designate Thomas Frazier, pastor. He later moved his membership to Holy Fellowship COGIC, Snellville, Georgia, Bishop Michael Paden, pastor.
Waymon Pryor, Jr. was an auto mechanic for over 50 years. His greatest passion was working on automobiles and his hobbies were fishing, sports, deer hunting and CB radios. His CB radio handle was “Greasy.” In the 80’s he was in a motorcycle club and enjoyed riding his motorcycle from state to state.
Waymon’s father Supt. Waymon Pryor Sr, mother, Ruth Mays, and brother, James Pryor preceded him in death.
Waymon Pryor Jr. of Decatur, Georgia entered rest at Emory Hospital Thursday April 22, 2021. Those who cherish his memory include: his son, Willie James Pryor, granddaughters, Brittany Pryor and Sigorney Pryor, great granddaughter, Kamora Fountain; brothers Herbert Pryor and Adam Pryor (Notasha), sisters Jessie Ashley, Lola Green, Linda Hooks ( Pastor John Hooks), Sarah Neal (Cleveland ), and Sandra Pryor; sister-in-law, Barbara Pryor; foster brothers Jimmy Searcy ( Kimberly), Jerry Searcy ( Michelle), and Tibiaz Jones; stepsister, Jessie M. Thomas ( Willie); step brother Emmanuel Broomfield; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, classmates, church members and friends.
