Mr. John C. Froneberger, son of the late Lance M. and Oneda Luckey Froneberger, was born in Gaston County, North Carolina and departed his earthly life on Sunday, April, 18th of 2021.

He was educated in the Gaston County schools system and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force and Reserves until he was discharged. He later retired from General Tire. John was an active member of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church and was a proud man of faith. John was committed to family, always ensuring that his support and love was felt by all those he encountered.

John was preceded in death by his parents: Lance and Oneda Luckey Froneberger, and his brother: Howard Froneberger.

His memory will be honored by his wife: Doris Smalls Froneberger; his brother: Ralph Froneberger (Tina) of Rock Hill, SC; his children: Tracy Piant (Ricky) of Lincolnton, NC, Chris Froneberger of Gastonia, NC, and Amber Froneberger of Gastonia, NC, his grandchildren: John Talan Froneberger, Khari Jackson, Nolia Jackson, Lance Froneberger, and Katie Piant; beloved nieces: Angela Clark and Annette Hill along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing at the funeral home on Friday; April 30, 2021 from 5 until 8

Funeral: Saturday; May 1, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at St John Baptist Church, Gastonia

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the church

Interment: Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia
