Mrs. Bessie Mae Rush, 81, of Columbus, GA passed Friday, April 23, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA with Pastor Reginald Ezell, officiating. Visitation is Friday, April 30, 2021 from 2 - 5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.

Mrs. Rush was born July 29, 1939 in Phenix City, AL to the late James and Kate Smith. She was educated in the Russell County School System.

Survivors include her children, Lerna Rush, Charles Rush, Jr., Sandra (Dean) Phillips, Rosalyn Asberry and Aric Rush; siblings, Sandra (James) Geddis, Larry Smith, Martha (Orie) Weeks, Jesse (Johnny Mae) Smith, Clara (James) Griffin, Ruby Lee and Chong Smith; 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; one great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
