My family's heart felt sympathies goes out to my brother James and his family. My name is Perry Black and I was James' roommate at Eastern Kentucky University for 3 years. From day one I knew Ms. Nekola was a very special lady. Every week she and Mr. James Sr. would drive from Danville to Richmond to bring James groceries. Not just snacks but groceries, enough to feed a family. Those groceries did feed a family, James freely shared his food with me and many young men in the dormitory. The love that she exemplified for her son spread to others that they could benefit from that love. I will be forever grateful. Rest in Peace Ms. Nekola.
