Mr. Joseph Compton, 82, of Hodgenville, KY, died on April 26, 2021 at Hosparus Inpatient Care in Louisville, KY.

Mr. Compton was a native of Green County, KY and the son of the late William and Mary Compton. He was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church and a mechanic.

Survivors include two sons, Donnie Compton of Louisville and Jerome Cox (Sherry) of Radcliff, KY; two daughters, Janie Compton-Sullivan (Robert) and Phyllis Compton both of Louisville, KY and one step-daughter, Jody Giuffrida of Radcliff, KY; three brothers, Everett L. Compton of Cincinnati, OH, Johnnie R. Compton of Las Vegas, NV and James Compton of Radcliff, KY; three sisters, Mattie E. Groves of Elizabethtown, KY, Barbara Simpson (Willie) of Hodgenville, KY and Anna B. Jennett of Lexington, KY; a special friend, Dorothy Ward; eleven grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral service is 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery.
