Mr. David William Mitchell, Jr., finished his earthly race at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Winston Salem. He was born April 10, 1941 in High Point, NC to the late David William Mitchell, Sr. and Irene Horne Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Fred and William (Bill) Mitchell.

David attended High Point City School and late forked for Coco-Cola Bottling Co. and Akzo Nobel where he retired. He was of Baptist faith.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Dorothy Mitchell; five sons, Michael Mitchell, Timothy Mitchell, Adrian (Cassandra) Morgan, James Morgan and Elijah Thomason; three daughters, Theresa Mitchell, Tammmy Morgan and Tonya Morgan; two sisters, Berline (Ronald) Exum, Daisy (Tony) McCorkle; one brother, Michael (Valerie) Mitchell; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel.
