Obituary For Allen Elliott

Allen Elliott 57 of Mt. Pleasant, TX died Tuesday July 11, 2017 at his home in Mt. Pleasant, TX. Services will be held Saturday July 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church 2830 W. Ferguson Rd. Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455; with Bro. Dwight Payne officiating and Pastor Arthur Simmons eulogist. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery. Viewing will held Friday July 14, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.

Allen Elliott was born in Dallas Texas October 24, 1959 to S.M. Elliott Jr. and Earline C. Elliott. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas in 1978. Allen accepted Christ and served him faithfully until he was called home. He met and married Lela A. Smith on November 21, 1987 and to this union two children were born. Allen and Lela established their home in Mt. Pleasant Texas where he was employed with Luminant Mining Company since 1993. They shared 29 years together. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He was preceded in death by his daughter, McKayla M. Elliott and father S.M. Elliott Jr., one brother Levester Elliott and two sister-in-laws, Sharlene Elliott and Myrtis Elliott and both grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Lela A. Elliott, two sons, Allen M. Elliott and Dexter Elliott; mother Earline C. Elliott and three grandchildren Cailyn, Micah and Lenna Elliott. Brothers, Bobby Joe Elliott (Ella), Charles R. Elliott of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Johnny F. Elliott of Lewisville, Texas. Sisters, Cathy (R.B.) Edwards of Dallas, Texas, Leuwenia McAfee of Myrtle Springs, Texas and Ilean Smith of Dallas Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
