Obituary For Leola Ross

The memorial service for Leola Ross, who passed away on August 23, 2017 at Archbold Memorial Hospital, will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness at 1:00 PM.

Leola Brown Ross was born September 3, 1945 in Camilla, Georgia to the late James Brown and Louise Mathis Brown.

Leola was a kind and gentle woman who loved nurturing her family and taking care of the needs of others. She was entrusted to many in the community to look after their children in her home and also served as a private caregiver for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed baking and was known for sharing her delectable sweet potato pies. She treasured her outdoor plants, especially her productive fig trees, from which she made many jars of delicious preserves.

Her love of Bible truths and her creator led her to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1970. She volunteered to share her bible-based faith with others through the door-to-door ministry.

Leola fell asleep in death on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Louis Ross, Sr. and her brother Ricky Brown.
