Tallahassee - Dorothy Mae McPherson 83, died Friday, April 23, 2021.
Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, May 1, 2021 Gethsemane M.B. Church, 302 Wallis St. with burial at St. Phillip Church Cemetery (Centerville Rd.). Viewing will be from 11 AM to 6 PM Friday, April 30, 2021 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
Survivors include one daughter, Kristen Fryson (Dametrice); five sons, Fredereck Jr. (Robin), Ronnie (Nikita), Gary, Samuel (fiance Keisha) and Terrance McPherson (Rena'); one daughter-in-law, Donna Austin; sister, Emily James (Wilson); 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

We will miss the love and warmth of the cousin relationship shared with Dot. Dot was a first cousin but more like an older sister. When she visted Tampa she would alwaya visit and sometimes stayed with Uncle Will, who was her mother Grisselle brother, and my father. She fed and took care of our son Erjaam, when he attended FAMU. She was like a mother or an aunt to him the years he was in Tallahassee. DOT loved her Hayes Family. Love you Cuz and will always miss you. James Hayes - Tampa, Florida
