My dear friend Aunt Mary, words can't express how grateful I am for your friendship and to you for all the years you helped me in taking care of my son. We did a good job. Most of all thank you for welcoming me into your family from the first day I met you. Our friendship has truly been special and I will definitely miss the many family gatherings we celebrated in love. (Aunt Rod)

- na

Sonya and I have been friends for over 35 years! We met in college. When we used to hang out Mrs. Mary would say we had better be home by a certain time! Man! I was nervous because she had a way about herself that made me feel like she was my own mom. We made sure we got back home or close to it on time because we did not want the consequence of Mrs. Mary. Looks could kill! But over the years i would spend the night many times and she would always make me feel welcomed. The days ahead without your mom will be hard at times, but just remember God gave you your mom for quite a long time...but it is never enough time because you love her. Just know she is now your angel watching over you. Love one another and enjoy each day as it comes...until you see her again. Love you my friend...Cindy Ludy-Simmons

Aunt Mary, with a completely heavy heart, it has been 9 years since I last seen you, about a month since we last spoke, You've been an encourager and a nurturer from afar. While in transition, continue to be that, as you've always been. With you, heaven has gained an angel and with your qualities, it has to be pleasing in God's eyes as he's welcoming you home. Today, my family and I will celebrate your homecoming as you are truly at peace, with the our Lord and Savior. I am so thankful to hear and know your voice, despite our geographical separation, to have a chance to hear you say "I Love You" to my family and I within this challenging last year. Wr love you, we love our Watley Family Tree, and May God Continue to Bless us All While We All Mourn For Such and Exceptional Being. Rest is peace, power, and love. *From "Lil" Rob, Joie, Bobbi & Blaire (Along with my Dad, mother: Crisann, Crystal, and Asia)

In Memory of our BELOVED #1 Supporter, Mrs. Mary Freeman. During Iraqi Freedom Campaign 2006-2007 and beyond she proved herself to be our #1 supporter. Atlanta is major transportation hub, so even though we originated at Ft. Bragg, we would come through Atlanta for R&R or home visits. Her home was the undisclosed USO, as she provided us with food, shelter, rides when needed and even seamstress services. On behalf of the Veterans of Iraqi Freedom, please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother, wife, grandmother and sister. We know most of the family, as on passing through her home, we have met most of them. When I think of her, I automatically smile, as she was a credit to her family and the many people she interacted. She leaves a legacy of love that is immeasurable. Our beloved is only a thought away; and as long as there are these memories, she will always live in our hearts. Wishing those she touched strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

My prayers are with you Bonita, Jackie and Sonya. I will always remember Mary. Such a beautiful and kind hearted woman. I remember vividly on my wedding date that Mary was there to help me with my hair, make-up, wedding dress and Mary kept my nerves together. I can still hear her saying "Hannah, no need to be nervous because this is a special day". That was over 40 years ago. I always loved hearing Mary's laughter. You're going to be missed Mary. We love you Mary.

Thinking of you at this time. Aunti Mary will be missed dearly. She most definitely showed her Kansas City nieces and nephews love. It was genuine too. I was so amazed of how she remembered the smallest details of each one of us. That showed me she was interested in our lives and getting to know us all. RIP from Kyra and your Kansas City Family.

Sonya as we walk this path called life we have to endure pain and sadness... but the Bible says "Weeping may come in the night, but joy comes in the morning" Use this time to weep and call upon God to comfort you. He will. May your Mother Rest In Peace and may you find comfort in knowing that. No more pain. I love you sis and I pray God continues to ease your pain today and the days ahead. Spread your wings Mrs. Mary. You will be missed by many. πŸ™πŸ½

Mom, even though I know LOVE and KINSHIP go past earthly dimensions, I can honestly testify now that I still was not ready to say goodbye to the physical part of you. I know you will be in my mind and heart, I feel that we will be infused in each others soul forever. I know God himself already resides there. I want God to know that he spoiled me by giving me you. I don't want to come across like a rotten kid having a temper tantrum because I am grateful, but God the whole in my life and heart are now so deep and wide that I sometimes feel along in the midst of a crowd. I do thank you God for giving my Mom so much love, peace and happiness. Somehow, you taught a little buttermilk biscuit making woman to love just like you and she spread your love to her daughters, husband, friends, neighbors, co-workers and all in earshot of her voice. Her smart, powerful, inspirational and comforting personality was contagious, especially if you stayed on her good side... LOL The feisty side of her was tamed and functional, yet always snapping back to the love shortly thereafter. Mom, thanks for teaching me with all the love and patience you could muster up. I'm really still at a loss of words. I love you more than life itself. YOU WERE THE BEST MOM AND WIFE IN THE WORLD TO ME!!! A day won't go by that you are not in my prayers, heart and thoughts. God bless you Mom and I miss you dearly. Your youngest and spunkiest daughter, Sonya Jones Ingram
