Obituary For Monica Goff

Monica Goff, 52, of Marion, SC (native of Hastings) was born on Saturday, January 11, 1969 to James Goff and Linda Evans-Goff in Gainesville, Florida. She received her education in the St. Johns County School District, subsequently graduated from St. Augustine High School with the class of 1986.

Monica received an Associates in Business from St. Leo University. She loved spending time talking to her grandchildren and shopping. She was affiliated with Pompey’s Temple Church of God in Christ under the tutelage of Elder Randall L. Chestnut and later became a member of Sandy Grove Holiness Church in Mullins, SC. Her favorite song was “Jesus can work it out.”

Monica was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Willie Buddy Ganey, uncle, Raymond Evans, Sr., aunt, Bermodie Mae Evans-Gilyard, grandfather, Willie James Evans and grandmother, Hattie Mae Dowling Evans.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Marvin (LaTaka) King, Forrest “Quan” (Dominique) King; brothers, Anthony Goff; sisters, Cheri Simpson, Alexis Goff, Katherine Dula, Sheryl Holmes, Jackie Lawrence, Ellie Jones; uncles, Ronald (Jequita) Evans Sr., Gregory (Debra) Evans, Eugene Evans, grandchildren, Cameron King, Zendaya King, Zoey King, Olivia King, Caidyn Brinson, Abrionna King, Nahla King, Kyra King; niece, Raven Graves; godsister, Sharlina Davenport; special friends, Letha Grice, Donna Curley, Willie F. McFayden, and a host of family and friends.

The Goff family will receive friends and the community on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5-7 p.m., at Pompey’s Temple Church of God in Christ, Elder Randall L. Chestnut, Pastor and eulogist. The graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Resthaven Community Cemetery, San Mateo, FL.
