Mr. Babineaux leaves to cherish his memories: his life partner, Marlene Handy of Church Point, LA; his mother, Dorothy Babineaux of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Joshua Babineaux of Atlanta, GA and Donnell Elam (Trina) of Houston, TX; three daughters, Alanna Davis (George IV) of Port Arthur, TX, Kelsha Babineaux and Amanda Handy, both of Houston, TX; two brothers, Lawrence (Carrie) Babineaux of Dallas, TX and Ronnie (Ebony) Jackson of Houston, TX; three sisters, Cheryl Simien (Darrell) of Port Arthur, TX, Pamela Babineaux-James and Lori Babineaux, both of Houston, TX; Godmother, Mary Carmaline Richard of Opelousas, LA; Goddaughters, Tiffany Coleman of Atlanta, GA, Lauren Harpe of Mt. Bellevue, TX and Dimaya Smith of Opelousas, LA; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his father, Joseph Calvin Babineaux; paternal grandparents, Earl and Corine Babineaux; and maternal grandparents, Alcia and Lillian Leday.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
