Obituary For Clester Lloyd

Mr. Clester "B Lloyd" Lloyd, 92, of Hurtsboro, AL passed Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Hurtsboro, AL.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at First Missionary Baptist Church Hurtsboro, AL with Pastor Troy Clark, officiating. Visitation Friday, May 7, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Clester Lloyd was born February 24, 1926 in Macon County, AL to Daisy Lloyd and Jake Donner. He was blessed to have five siblings.

He began his formal education at the Hurtsboro Training Center. On May 21, 1956 he was united in Holy Matrimony with Sarah Eugenia Word and together they raised six children. He worked as an engineer for Russell County where he performed construction and maintenance on the roads, as well as the repair of the heavy equipment and machinery used on the job.

Clester united with the First Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized in March of 2021.He was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Lloyd and Jake Donner; grandchild, Sandy Pass; four siblings, Fessor, Willie James and Curtis Lloyd and Sarah Frances Key.

Survivors include six children, Sara Ann Lloyd Charles, Boston, MA, Linda Lisa Lloyd, Hurtsboro, AL, Darold Lloyd, Boston, MA, Bernie "Bonnie Sue" Brown, Boston, MA, Roosevelt (Mrs.) Swanson, Jr., Indiana and Curtis (Marva) Word, Oxford, AL; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sibling, Betty L. (Willie) Jones, Indiana; a host of other family members and friends near and far.
