Mother Daisy Mae Anderson

06/08/1931 - 04/17/2021

Daisy Mae Anderson was born on June 8, 1931, in Fort Valley, GA as the eldest child of seven to the late Troy and Jimmie Lee Davis. She was educated in the Fort Valley Public Schools.

Daisy met and married her lifelong love, John Edward Anderson, in 1949. Their 52-year union resulted in the birth of five sons and two daughters. They raised their family in Fort Pierce, Florida where they worked together and supported the community through migrant contracting. She later transitioned into the St. Lucie County School System where she eventually retired. Daisy was loving, supportive, and tough when necessary. A prayer warrior through and through!

Daisy was a decades long active and supportive constituent of the Greater Faith Community joining in the mid 60’s. Over the years she made sure to encompass her children, grandchildren, and any person that needed prayer, comfort, food, or simply the warmth that her beloved church community offered. Daisy assisted with the youth usher board and served as a Sunday school teacher for years . Daisy sang in the choir and was secretary for the Prayer Band.

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Daisy was peacefully welcomed into the loving arms of our almighty God. She was preceded in death by her parents Troy and Jimmie Lee Davis, husband John E. Anderson, sons Willie Anderson, Freddie Anderson, Harry Anderson, daughter Bonnie Faye Davis, and grandsons Freddie Lee Anderson, Jr., Michael Anderson, and Xavier Davis, and brothers, Louis Davis, Jimmy Davis, and Troy Davis, Jr.
