Mary grew up in High Point and attended High Point City Schools and William Penn High School. Shortly after leaving William Penn, she began working at D&E Aluminum Company and worked there for several years while working several other odd jobs before retiring from Styrex Industries. Mary was a very devoted mother who loved hard and worked tirelessly to provide for her children.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children, Abraham Parson (Cathy) of Desoto, TX, Cynthia Wilson, Sharon Parson, Dahlia Middlebrooks (Phillip), Shavonna L. Cox and Sedalia Parson Davis, all of High Point, NC, Donald J. Gill Sr. (Cynthia) of Hope Mills, NC and one “Beloved Son” Donald J. Gill, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, John Caldwell, Barbara Caldwell, Peggy Caldwell, Ray Caldwell and Levord Caldwell, all of High Point, NC; one sister-in-law, Costella Caldwell and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who will always love and cherish her.
A private funeral service will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. Mrs. Parson may be viewed on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
