At an early age, he accepted Christ and was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. He graduated and he served his time to become a Veteran. After that he moved to Ohio which was home for a while. He did return to roots Rock Hill, SC to live out his life.
"Uncle George or George JR" as he was called by the family, was outgoing, a person who traveled among the globe. He had a “FIRE PERSONALITY” about him that could not be overlooked, he was happy for sure. To know him was to love him.
Left to cherish his loving memory his, One sister; Shirley Lumpkin (Palmer) of Rock Hill, SC: Two Brothers: Randy Young, of Rock Hill, SC Terry Young (Felica) of Tyler Texas and a host of very dear nieces, nephews and other relatives along with friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 4pm to 6 pm at Parker Funeral Home Chapel 870 Saluda St, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Mask are required. Family is accepting friends at the home of his sister Shirley Lumpkin 162 East Moore Street Rock Hill, SC 29730 until Friday, May 7, 2021. After visitation Saturday May 8, 2021. Family and friends will proceed to the niece home 734 Mallory Drive Rock Hill SC 29730.
