Mr. Modica Cunnard Head 52, of Powder Springs, Georgia was born on February 28, 1965 in Jackson, Georgia to his parents, Ellis and Fannie Mae Head. Modica received his call to glory on October 2, 2017. His wife Cindy will welcome guest for his viewing on Friday October 6, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral homes chapel, 4405 Marietta Street, Powder Springs, GA 30127. The funeral service for Mr. Head will be on Saturday October 7, 2017 for 10:00 AM at Shaw Temple AME Zion Church, 775 Hurt Road, Smyrna, Georgia. His body will lie in state at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens, Atlanta St, Powder Springs, GA 30127. At the request of the family in lieu of flowers, please support the Sydnei N. Modica and I started 1st grade together and graduated in 1983 together. He was always smiling and I never heard a harsh word from his mouth. Kind and gentle and soft spoken best describes him to me. Modica was one of the classiest people I've met. Our kids played softball together and against one another for years at Lost Mountain Park. So horribly sad to hear the news of his passing. Enjoyed all the times coaching with and against Modica and the cold February tryout days where we got a lot of time to talk.
