Obituary For Jalen Juwan Willingham

My baby, my gentle giant Jalen Juwan Willingham transitioned into eternal rest April 28, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia at the age of 27.

Jalen graduated from Shaw High School in 2012 where he was a member of the Shaw Raiders football team; and later attended Columbus Technical College. My baby had a heart of gold and would go to the end of the earth for those he loved; as he loved and was loved by many. He had a smile that could light up a room, and a sense of humor that was unmatched. Jalen was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved Gummies of any form by the dozens, but above all, music was his passion. Jalen "JAYYKNO" was a well known, loved, and respected local and surrounding area Rap Artist to include Atlanta and Decatur, Georgia. His love for music lead him and his label mates to establish the Music Label "EBEĀ"; a label promoting unity, positivity, solidarity, and success amongst label mates and aspiring artists.

Jalen was born on March 25, 1994 at 12:07 a.m. in Honolulu, HI to Leroy Willingham and Regenia Pettus Willingham. He was proceeded in death by his father, Leroy Willingham and sister, Letia R. Daniels.

Those continuing to cherish his loving memory, his mother, Regenia Willingham, brother, DeMarkus Willingham, niece, Gaia Russell all of Midland, GA, maternal grandmother, Nina Fairrow Pettus, Clarksville, TN; uncles, Gary Pettus, Clarksville , TN, Tony Pettus (Nikole), Atlanta, GA, Robert Miller, Nathaniel Miller (Lily), both of Barnwell, SC, Herman Willingham Jr. (Nancy), Aiken, SC, Sammy Willingham, Martin, SC, and Harry Willingham (Gussie Bynum), Allendale, SC; aunts, Margaret Pettus Darden (Joseph), Clarksville, TN, Doris Willingham and Annie Dunbar both of Martin, SC; a devoted companion, Shanda Williams, Columbus, GA, close family friend, Dirk Wheeler, Columbus, GA; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Prayer: Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

God doesn't tell you all the details of your destiny, it would overwhelm you. He gives you end from the beginning and says trust me.
