Obituary For Wilborn "Doc" Cobb, Sr.

Mr. Wilborn "Doc" Cobb, Sr., 69, of Phenix City, AL died Monday, May 3, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. EST (12 noon CST), Saturday, May 8, 2021 at New Bethel Community Church (Enon Community), Midway, AL with Pastor David Dawson, eulogist. Visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.

"Doc" was born February 15, 1952 to Willie Mae Cobb and the late Moses Cobb in Hurtsboro, AL.

His survivors include his mother, Willie Mae Cobb of Columbus, GA; daughter, Latoria Cobb of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Norman Cobb of Columbus, GA and Wilborn (Cartina) Cobb, Jr. of Phenix City, AL; adopted daughters, Vanessa McGlow of Hurtsboro, AL and Sherita Jenkins of Phenix City, AL; eight brothers, Moses (Pat) Cobb, Aaron (Annette) Cobb, Arthur Cobb, Willie (Cheryl) Cobb all of Detroit, MI; James Cobb of Columbus, GA; Johnny (Annette) Cobb of Auburn, AL; Johnny (Shirley Ann) Covington of Hurtsboro, AL and Ivory (Thelma) Covington ofTuskegee, AL; four sisters, Ella Mae Burston, Annie Worthen both of Columbus, GA; Corene (Elmore) Thomas of Atlanta, GA and Lorene (Homer) McCloud of Forney, TX; 16 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
