Obituary For Annie Catheryn Underwood

Mrs. Annie C. Underwood, 91, of Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, May, 2, 2021 in Phenix City, AL.

Graveside service will be held 12 noon Friday, May 7, 2021 at Stephens Cemetery with Rev. James Daniels, officiating. Visitation is Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Mrs. Underwood was born May 25, 1929 to the late Herbert and the late Lillie B. Moore Stephens. She was member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church Ft. Mitchell, AL, 1948 graduate of South Girard High School and was an LPN.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Stephens, Herman Stephens and Emmett Stephens; two sisters, Melba Sumbry and Bernice Dodd.

Survivors include her two sons, Lemmie J. Underwood, Jr. and Ronald Underwood (Patsy) both of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Florence Williams of Phenix City, AL; seven grand- children, Ashley Bradley of Charlotte, NC, Desmond Underwood and Derrick Underwood both of Louisville, MS, Kentrel Underwood of Phenix City, AL, Antonio Fortson (Brittany) of Montgomery, AL, Deon Fortson and Deonte Fortson both of Phenix City, AL; eight great -grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
