Omg, Ziggy life Is filled with swift transition. I was so saddened to hear that you had gone home to glory! One day we were talking about the Lord on our job as always and when I didn't see your car I thought It strange, only to hear the news! I always told you that you were the "Whisperer " for u could always reel me back in line! Last thing u said to me was, "not to sweat the small stuff".Thanks for being a sage, a strength ,counselor, and friend.Mostly a Soldier for Christ by humble example! Always seeing yourself in the story of others, then ministering to that. The gift of "you" Is greatly missed here.Til we meet again ZIgster.Love and sincere Thanks bud! Plus my best prayers to his family.- Rod B

Ziggy, You were our mascot at the YWCA. You & I shared so much laughter and many wisdom talks. I truly honor & salute you! You were one of a kind. You will never ever be forgotten. Rest in Power & Peace. I remember all the children calling your name, running to their window waving at you & those that could get to you running to always give you a hug and talk to you. GOD placed you at the YWCA to place so many rolls in all of our lives & you succeeded. Thank You! You were a "STAR" in your own right. This seems so unreal but I know GOD knows best!😇😇♥️♥️😘

Ziggy meant so much to me and to his many other friends here in Asheville. He was was of the wisest and most present, aware persons I have known. His family members were always in his thoughts and love for them guided his actions. I know he touched many lives with grace. My sympathy to his family for their loss.

Life sometimes places special people in your path. My path was blessed with Ziggy. We worked together for years at the YWCA, each in our roles - promoting its mission of empowering women and eliminating racism. I loved his stories, his laugh, his openness to growth. He taught me so much about vulnerability, humility, grace. His passing hits me hard. I am grateful for his unexpected call last year, checking up on us. We exchanged old stories and expressed our mutual love for each other. Rest easy brother. Thank you for walking with me when our paths merged. To the family, thank you for sharing him with us. My condolences for your loss.

I met Ziggy many years ago when we worked at the YWCA in Asheville. We had deep philosophical conversations from the start. We talked about life, spirituality and became the best of friends. I moved away and he moved away but we stayed in contact and talked on the phone regularly. He had great wisdom and and we got each other. He was always learning and tried to live a good clean healthy life. He spoke of his sister with love often and told me how proud he was of her and what a great lady she was. He was always willing to help someone and had a great work ethic. He believed in doing his very best. I can't believe you're gone Ziggy. I am so very sad and wish the family my deepest sympathy. I will miss our long talks Ziggy. Rest in Peace. Amy LaDeroute

I knew Ziggy from WCRM in Asheville. After WCRM I would occasionally run into Ziggy around town and we would update each other on our lives. He was always positive, always moving forward and always had a smile to share. I don't think I ever heard him complain. I always felt better after seeing Ziggy. So sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

I met ZIGGY years ago. He came in to WCRM for the program. I was the Wednesday morning chapel guy. Ziggy and I became good friends from the start. He always had a great attitude and the desire to better himself. He was an inspiritation to everyone. I worked in downtown Asheville. Everytime he walked by, He would always stop in. He was a man with a grateful heart. He was man you could always depend on. God Bless you his friends and family. Archie Huntsinger.

Ziggy was the custodian at The Trust Company Building where I work. I enjoined getting to know him. There were many days we would talk with one another about family, God, the craziness in the world today and the way we were both raised. I looked forward to those conversations and will miss them. He loved the family dearly. The entire family is in my prayers. Paul Jaeger
