Obituary For Andrew Garrett

Home going celebration for Mr. Andrew Garrett of Talladega, 69, will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Reverend Raymond Garrett will be the eulogist. Interment will be in St. Campbell Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the funeral home.

Mr. Andrew Garrett began life’s journey on Wednesday, April 9, 1952, to the union of Hezzie Garrett and Lurena Jones Garrett in Alpine, Alabama.

At an early age, Mr. Garrett confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with St. Campbell Missionary Baptist Church. Andrew was a graduate of Talladega County Training School. After completing school, Andrew utilized his talents in the field of construction and became the owner of his own company.

In the early hours of Wednesday, May 5, 2021, Andrew began his eternal journey at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Hezzie and Lurena Garrett; and six siblings, L. C. Garrett, Avery Garrett, William Garrett, Annie Staples, J. T. Garrett and Calvin Garrett.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a longtime companion, Bobbie Twyman of Talladega, Alabama; three daughters, Andrea Garrett of Talladega, Alabama, Keisha Perkins of Pell City, Alabama and Becky White of Birmingham, Alabama; five sons, Patrick (Pamela) Morris of Wichita Falls, Texas, Johnathan (Sheena) Garrett of Talladega, Alabama, Andrew (Nikki) Garrett, Jr. of Douglasville, Georgia, Calvin (Precious) Garrett of Mableton, Georgia and Deandric Duncan of Calera, Alabama; seven bonus children, Sharon Twyman and Christie (Lamont) McKenzie of Talladega, Alabama, Rosie Twyman of Sylacauga, Alabama, Steven Twyman, Christopher Twyman, Michael Twyman and Sherman Twyman of Talladega, Alabama; thirty-two grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; four sisters, Phedonia Guyton of Talladega, Alabama, Rosetta Garrett of Springfield, Ohio, Lorene Wills of Anniston, Alabama and Erlene Garrett of Cincinnati, Ohio; five brothers, Fred (Barbara) Garrett and Early (Trisha) Garrett of Alpine, Alabama, Phillip Garrett of Talladega, Alabama, Raymond Garrett of Alpine, Alabama and Lee Curtis (Mary) Garrett of Talladega, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
