Those of us who watched the streaming could see the sincerity of those who so lovingly reached out to touch the casket as to say "Jean we love you so much and will never forget you good work in many areas". My life was enriched over this more than a quarter of a century friendship. As a church musician for over 70 years, I was so impressed with her singing voice which could always 'balance' the choir at our beloved Alexander Church. I never failed to tell her each time she returned to the church how much I missed her at Alexander. I finally accepted the fact that she was serious about not returning. God bless her loving daughter Marvalee, neice Veronica and all of those who remain. Dr. Bernard Clay

I pray the family of Sister Hailey will accept my sincerest condolences. Her dedication to Big Bethel AME Church will be forever cherished, especially for me is her unfailing commitment to her "voter registration ministry." Embedded in my memory is her quiet walk across the front of the church, with one hand raised, testifying to God's Goodness! Now she testifies in Glory, in the Arms of our Mighty and Powerful God. Humbly submitted, Sister Brenda Tanks Hewitt, Atlanta, GA
