Obituary For Alvin Jermond Scales

Graveside service for Mr. Alvin Jermond Scales of Pell City, 43, will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Rocky Zion Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, May 14, 2021, and 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Rocky Zion Baptist Church.

A bundle of joy was born on August 9, 1977, to Mr. Albert Scales and Mrs. Emily Scales in Pell City, Alabama. This baby boy was named Alvin Jermond Scales.

Alvin was a member of the Pell City High School Class of 1995. He was voted the student with “Most School Spirit” & “Mr. Personality”. He was a member of the Pep Squad, a participant in the Special Olympics and Mr. Pell High, he served as a Peer Tutor and Library Assistant, honored as Solid Senior and Channel 12 Spotlight. In 1996, while he was employed, Alvin was voted “Employee of the Year” by the Greater Etowah County Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities.

Cherished memories will forever be in the hearts of his caregiver and aunt, Pattie Nell Sanders of Pell City, Alabama; aunts, Peggy Moore of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mary Alice Moore of Pell City, Alabama; a niece, Asijah Robinson of Bronx, New York; and a host of cherished family and friends.

On May 7, 2021, Alvin joined his mother, father, grandparents and a brother in eternity.
