Obituary For Deacon Clarence Brantley

Deacon Clarence Brantley, 95, of Ridgeland, SC, died Monday, May 10th in the Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville, SC. He was member of the Antioch Baptist Church, Pineland, SC, where he served in the Deacons' Ministry, Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 11th 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home, 109 Yemassee Hwy, Yemassee, SC. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12 th 1:00 pm in the Antioch Baptist Church,7293 Cotton Hill Road, Pineland, SC. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Family, so saddened to have learned of the passing of gentle giant Deacon Brantley. Just before my father, Proctor Bright passed away, he said to me how close friends he and the Brantley family was and how he thought of them truly as his brothers. Deacon Clarence truly was an inspiration to my father and kept us in his heart even after Dad was gone. We will miss his kind spirit and welcoming smile. We love you, but God loves you best!
