Obituary For Mrs. Lena E. Ivey

Augusta, Georgia-Mrs. Lena Eagle Ivey entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Pruitt Health-Augusta Hills.

Mrs. Lena E. Ivey was born January 1, 1926, to the late Jessie Eagle and Rose Eagle in Hancock, Georgia.

At an early age, Lena accepted Christ and was baptized at Trinity A.M.E. Church. Her family moved to Augusta, Georgia where she united with Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church and served on the Usher’s Board for many years.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jasper Ivey.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Willie Ivey, Wayne Ivey, Sr. and Louis Ivey.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Survivors are a devoted daughter, Gloria Freeman, Augusta, Georgia; a devoted grandson, Karl’s Birt, Sr., Augusta, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
