She was a Florida native until she moved to Quitman, Georgia 15 years ago. She stayed a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and attended Union Cathedral, in Valdosta. Her kind smile and a sweet disposition made it easy for members to embrace her. She kept her love of God and scripture wherever she went. Sharon had a black-belt in bargain shopping and the uncanny ability to know exactly what scripture you needed before you said anything at all. It may have not been what you wanted to hear, but it was you needed. She also loved to fish every chance she got ither her sisters.
She was such a woman of great faith and steadfast prayer that we have comfort in knowing that her ultimate reward awaits. One of her best sayings was, “never let anyone cost you your Crown”…and she did not.
