THE GRAVESIDE HOME GOING CELEBRATION & INTERMENT HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Mr. Jimmie Lee Colston of Carrollton, Alabama was held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, 12:00 Noon in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 91 Big Creek Road, Carrollton, Alabama. Reverend Tonnie Jones, Pastor of Pine Grove Baptist Church was The Eulogist.

Our sincere condolences to the Colston family for the loss of your loved one and our family friend whom we affectionately called "Uncle Jim". He has brought much laughter to our family over the years and he will truly be missed. We praise the God of all comfort who promises us that "there is going to be a resurrection" (Acts 24:15). He assures us of the wonderful hope of seeing Uncle Jim and all of our dead loved ones again. We pray that you all meditate on that hope and God's promise to one day "swallow up death forever" (Isaiah 25:8). Jim was a friend to our entire family and he acted like one of the 10 siblings. He was our first cousin but seemed like a brother. Jim would visit us often and he had a great sense of humor. He will be missed but all of us will come to the end of this life whether it be sooner or later. Willie Howard and the Howard family.
