James Edward Holowell, 65, died April 10, 2021

On Monday, August 22, 1955, Rena Henrietta Brown gave birth to James Edward Holowell in Laurel, Mississippi. He was also blessed to be raised by a special aunt, Laura L. Holowell and her husband Ivy.

Most of his life was spent in Michigan. He graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan. He was a great student and continued his education and graduated from Wayne State University where he received a degree in carpentry. He was a master carpenter and machinist.

As a child James enjoyed reading and that followed him throughout his adult life. In his spare time he watched science fiction movies and action movies. For many, he was a handyman and was frequently asked to fix one thing or another. In the last 20 years he relocated to Louisville, Kentucky to be close to his sister Patricia nicknamed, Patrice.

Sadly on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the tender age of 65, James Edward Holowell departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, James Holowell, Jr, siblings, Catherine Hayes, Terry Hayes, Annie Brown, and Patricia Brown, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
