Obituary For John William Biesnecker

After a short illness, John William Biesnecker died on May 15, 2021 in Marianna, Florida surrounded by people who love him. He was 67.

Originally from Lake Worth, Florida, he moved to Bascom, Florida in 2007 and remained there the rest of his life.

John was a genuinely good person. He was kind and funny and hardworking and selfless. He didn’t have an ego or a competitive streak, he just wanted to do his part and get the job done. He could have a temper but he was never mean, and he adored his family and would do anything for them.

He loved the Cardinals and the Dolphins and the Gators. He loved Budweiser and barbecuing and NASCAR and airplanes and working outside. We know he loved us, too, and we’re really going to miss him.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Nancy, his sister Connie Lee, two sons, two grandsons, and two nieces.

Memorial services will be held at 3pm CT on June 5, 2021 at Greenwood United Methodist Church at 4220 Bryan Street in Greenwood, Florida. Flowers are welcome, as are donations in John’s name to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
