Obituary For Mother Ella Mae Johnson

~OBITUARY~

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the pasts of righteousness for his name's sake" Psalm 23: 1-3

On November 11, 1941, in Allendale County, South Carolina, God blessed our family with a precious angel. Affectionately known as "Mae" was the beloved daughter of the late Coy Johnson and the late Dorothy Johnson.

Mother Ella Mae Johnson attended the public schools of Allendale County. At an early age, she joined Goodwill Baptist Church. Later in life she confessed Christ as her Savior and she became a baptized member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church.

Mae had a personality like no other. She always had a smile and a kind word to say. She wanted those in presence to feel special, so would always cook a hot meal for them to eat. Above all, she loved her family and her dear friends.

On Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina she made her peaceful transition to be with the Lord.

In addition, to her parents, she is preceded in death by: (1) Daughter: Kathy Freeman; (5) Sisters and (3) Brothers.

Preserving her memories are her loving and devoted children: (1) Son: Charles (Regina) Delks, Sr., Ridgeland, SC; (1) Daughter: Paula Mays, Atlanta, GA; (11) Grandchildren: Charles Delks, Jr., London Delks, Lindsey Delks, Christopher Kendricks, Jr., Justice Kendricks, Jazmine Hall, Natasha Kiera Manuel, Quamall Mays, Demenia Mays-fulton, Kimberly Mack, Sedaris Mays; (4) Great-Grandchildren; A'Legend, Azion, Apromise, Ayman, along with (9) more; (1) Sister: Barbara Johnson, Fairfax, SC; (18) Nieces and Nephews; Tonya Doctor, Rhonda Johnson, Katrina Singleton, Bridgett Johnson, Yvette Johnson, Linda Singleton, Aisha Scott-Williams, Bianca Scott, Latisha Scott, Varonica Wilson, Brooks Scott, Michael Doctors, Khary Johnson, Keith Johnson, Christopher Singleton, Chris Johnson, Thomas Johnson, and Johnny Johnson. A host of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, for as long there is a memory, they'll live on in the heart.
