Obituary For Earlene Davis

Earlene Davis, 63, of Walnut Cove, NC died May 20, 2021. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the New London PP Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Walnut Cove, NC.

Earlene Davis transcended time and embraced eternity on Thursday, May 20, 2021. When the heavens opened and reclaimed that which was loaned to earth for just a little while. It is written: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Earlene grew up in Walnut Cove, NC where she resided all her life. She was born to the late Rannie E. Davis and Annie Gibson Davis on December 19, 1957. Earlene attended South Stokes High School and was was employed by Hanes Brands, Burlington Industries and Brook Cove RJR for a long period of time. Earlene was a beautiful soul that really loved the Lord but at the same time, she would be quick to tell you what’s on her mind with no hesitation. She was a member of the Pastor’s Aide, where she served under Rev. Robert Hairston, whom she loved dearly. She was baptized in 2012 at New London Primitive Baptist Church where she served the Lord faithfully since she joined. Her favorite song was “I Love the Lord” by the Canton Spirituals, whom she loved.

She leaves to cherish in her memory: her beloved son; Eric Davis (Briana Watkins), her loyal daughter; Shana Williams (Delvin Crews) both of Walnut Cove, NC, six grandchildren who was so dear to her; KaShawn Davis, Destiny Davis, Jamier Davis, Ariyah Davis, Trinity Crews and soon to come, baby Talaya Crews, who will be the newest addition to the family, all of Walnut Cove, NC. Her brothers & sisters; George Davis (Anna), Elmer Davis (Donna), Sharon Simmons, devoted Betty Davis, Curtis Davis, Edison Davis, baby sister Marylin Davis all of Walnut Cove, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
