Obituary For Viola Barber

Viola Barber, 88, of Harrisburg, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, May 9, 2021. She was born in Taylorsville, NC, daughter of the late Jesse and Junie (Watts) Horton, a graduate of the former William Penn High School, retired from the former Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot and a longstanding member of Harrisburg Area Friends of Jazz. In her leisure, Viola enjoyed Jazz Cruises, working crossword puzzles & cryptograms. She was the widow of Donald Barber, Sr. and leaves to celebrate her life, her daughter, Judi Barber; her son and daughter-in-law, Donald Barber, Jr. and Janice Barber and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viola's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19 in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. COVID-19 Guidelines will be observed with face masks and social distancing for all attendees.
