Graveside service for Doris J. Averitte 84, will be Saturday, May 15, at 2 pm at the Forestlawn Gardens and Mausolem with Pastor Marvin Crowe, officiating. Mrs. Averitte passed away on May 9, 2021 at RMC Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Averitte was a member of Peter Rock Pure Holiness Church of God. She retired from Tyson Foods after many years of service. Survivors include her children: Joann Vinson Lancaster, Preston (Keena) Averitte, Melvin T. Averitte, Cedrick Averitte, Millissa (Henry) Jedkins, Alberts (Yolanda) Willis, Fredrick B. Willis, Donna C. Simmons, Timothy L. Crowe; siblings: James (Hattie) Crowe, Howard (Betty) Crowe, Pastor Marvin (Beverly) Crowe, Donald (Rosetta) Crowe, Larry (Teresa) Crowe, Leola Crowe, Shirley (Benjamin) Ware, Gurthie Jackson; 34 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
