Betty Lou Alcorn, 75 of Stanford, KY, born February 27, 1946 passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Ft. Logan EMRMC in Stanford. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore and Mary T. Simpson and the late Cecil Alcorn.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, grandparents, two grandchildren, host of aunts and uncles

Betty was a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in the Boneyville Community. She received her education at the Lincoln County High School. Betty was formally employee at Palm Beach Factory, Charleston Health Care and Senior Citizen Center of Lincoln County.

She enjoyed being in church, tending to her flowers, having fish fries, dancing, cooking family dinners, softball and a former bowling team member.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories, six sons, Timmy, Sidney, Kelvin, Kevin, Rodney and James (Dana) Alcorn; two daughters Tammy (Kevin) Jones and Cassandra (Raymond) Johnson; three brothers, Elder Christopher (Tina) Simpson, Ronald (Yolanda) Wilkinson and Chris Alcorn; two sisters, Connie Simpson and Tonia Simpson; long time companion Robert Coulter, Sr. and children, Elder Robert (Cammie) Coulter, Jr, Teresa )Richard) Hunn and Mark (Cristy) Coulter; 45 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; one aunt, Lucille Helm; she also leaves, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends, Margaret Brown, John Routt, Kenneth (JR) Thomas, Kenneth Gooch and Mark Gooch.

Flowers may be delivered to the church by 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Betty was a treasured employee for us at Charleston Health Care. Always sweet and caring , kind and respected by both coworkers, and patients.
