Obituary For Ellen Adlene Galloway Carter

Ellen G. Carter, 78, of Eden, NC died May 24, 2021. A public viewing will be held from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, Eden, NC.

Mrs. Ellen Adlene Galloway Carter was born on June 23, 1942, to the late Pleas and Ethel Hooper Galloway. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and was a domestic worker and a homemaker. She attended Wentworth Baptist Church. “Lene”, her nickname, loved watching Days of Our Lives and eating ice cream. On Monday, May 24, 2021, at 5:00 a.m. she gained her heavenly wings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons; Curtis eric Carter, Jr., and Kenneth Carter and brothers; Pleas Galloway, Ralph Galloway and James Galloway, sisters; Estella Lyons, Theresa Lowe, Lucy Thacker, Annie Hams and Ruth E. Galloway Carter.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband of 57 years; Curtis Carter, two daughters; Mary Ellen Carter of the home, Stephanie Laverne Carter of Reidsville, NC, nieces; Diane Galloway and Wanda Lane of Reidsville, NC, nephews; Sherman Carter of Stoneville, NC, and James Carter of Stokesdale, NC, brother-in-law; J C Carter and a host of other relatives and friends.
