James A. Smith, 53, was born Saturday, February 29, 1964 in Horry County to Adell Jones and the late James A. Smith Sr.

Mr. Smith departed this earthly life Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Loris High School, 301 Loris Lions Rd, Loris, SC 29569.

Interment will follow in Heavenly Hill Cemetery.

James is family to not only those who played on the basketball team but to any person at Myrtle Beach highschool or even in the area. We have too many good times and memrories together from taking me and Lebrone to our first college trip, always a good time we will miss him. - JaQuan Chestnut
