My heart is heavy right now to find out my cousin Freddie has passed away. Freddie was a kind and loving person. He definitely loved his family. I spent most of my summers when I was around 9 or 10 years old staying at aunt Eunice or aunt mamilee's house. Freddie always spent so much time hanging out with me. I want say goodbye, because I will see you again one day. Love, your cousin Freida.

Mr. Perry I would like to thank you for giving me my first job at Perry's Place. Like many of the youngsters in the area you provided us with a safe place to sing dance and eat as teens. You were a listening ear to all and showed us how to enjoy the holidays with your community parades. No one could tear down a choir stand with the Holy Ghost like you and my cousin JC. I will miss you calling me names and your distinctive laugh. You were a God send for education and community development. Never will you be forgotten!!! Rest in Power and know that you were loved by many. Tawana Spear Willis

I will truly miss my cousin. Every summer I'd drive my mother to Alabama, and Freddie always wanted me to stay with him. We enjoyed riding shopping and best of all "window shopping". We could talk for hours and never be bored.I know he's at peace and singing with God's Angels. Evelyn Griffie Nowden

Coming to Piedmont will never be the same for my family. Before we could get in the house and sit down he was coming though the door singing my baby's name. We always had a good time with him. No matter what he would sing on Sunday morning at church it would speak to me. Love and miss you Freddie. The Diamonds
