Obituary For Sterling Williams

Mr. Sterling Williams was the true embodiment of a GREAT father, grandfather, relative and friend. He made it his responsibility to provide for his entire family through the good, bad and indifferent.

He was born on April 8, 1948 to the late Mr. Lewis & Mattie Jane Williams. Sterling departed this life on May 24, 2021.

Bro. Williams was a graduate of Ruth Carter High School in Talbotton, GA. He served a total of eight years in The United States Army, The United States Reserves and The Georgia National Guard. He was a devoted employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad until his retirement.

Sterling was united in matrimony to the love of his life, the late Martha Louise Monds Williams and to this union two children were born: Ronhdy and Wendy.

Bro. Williams attended Box Springs Church of Christ until his death. Sterling loved all types of sports. He had a special spot in his heart for his pets: Samantha, Bull, Bella and Bear.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Martha Louise Williams; and two siblings: Mary Joyce Middleton and Walter Lee Williams.

His memories will be cherished by two loving children: Ronhdy Williams and Wendy Williams; five grandchildren: Contessa Williams, Juan Williams, Monica Woolley, Ja’Myia Williams and Terrianna Williams; two sisters: Shirley Latham and Lovie Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be May 29, 2021 at 1PM at Box Springs Church of Christ. Masks are required.

Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021 at Terry Family Funeral Home 144 College Avenue Talbotton, GA. 31827 from 2pm-7pm.

Sorry to hear the passing of my childhood,schoolmate and friend of so many years,we converse sunday morning and also sunday night and the plan was to continue on monday after surgery but unfortunately i got a call that i did not have any thought could be true about my friend Sterling Williams.Hey i will miss our conversations,God bless the family and carry his legacy on with love.Childhood buddy Walter Boynton
