Mr. Jonathan Roberts, 62, of Augusta, Georgia answered the call to enter into eternal rest on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at University Hospital.

Jonathan, affectionately known as "Doonk" was born to the parentage of the late Joseph Rice of Atlanta, Georgia and Mollie H. Holliday of Augusta, Georgia.

Upon graduation from Louisville High School in 1976, he attended college and was employed for fifteen years by the Richmond County Board of Education as a Special Education Paraprofessional until his retirement in October 2017.

Jonathan had an infectious smile and was always laughing. He enjoyed living his life doing what he wanted to do and being very independent.

Although absent from the body, he leaves behind cherished memories of his life to be stored in the hearts of his loved ones; two devoted nieces and a nephew who were also his caregivers: Tawanda (Leon) Lewis, of Hephzibah, Georgia, Lakeisha Washington, and Kevin (Kentrice) Lewis all of Augusta, Georgia. Brothers: Weldon (Sarah) Roberts, Augusta, Georgia, Jeremiah (Pauline) Roberts, Louisville, Georgia, and Joseph Cummings of Burlington, North Carolina. Sisters: Martha Dudley, Los Angeles, California, Alma Daniels, Warthen, Georgia, Mary (John) Ayers, Hephzibah, Georgia, Gloria Roberts (Kenneth Johnson), Louisville, Georgia, and Lajuana Meal, of Atlanta, Georgia. Family friend: Virginia Jackson, of Augusta, Georgia and a host of other family, friends, and colleagues.

A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the James and Virginia Davis Funeral Chapel, Davis Funeral Home in Louisville, Georgia.
