Obituary For MR. ALBERT T. MYERS SR.

Our beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend, Albert T. Myers, “known as Pop” was born November 21, 1946 in Chesterfield, SC to the late John “Son” Myers and Francis Lisenby Myers. He departed his life May 16, 2021 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus, Concord, NC. Albert was preceded in death by his father, John Myers, mother, Francis Lisenby Myers, two brothers, Willie Myers and Ervin Myers, grandson, Markel Myers and a granddaughter; brother-in-law, Joe Louis Williams; and sister-in-law, Louise Williams. Albert T. Myers attended the public schools of Chesterfield County, SC and was a graduate of Chesterfield High School. He was employed as a maintenance man at Tyson Foods for 40 years until his retirement. Albert was an outdoor person who loved working on cars. His hobby was fishing and his enjoyment was taking time out with his family who always came FIRST. Albert confessed to God, His Creator, at an early age and kept his faith in God. He leaves to cherish his wife, Minnie Ledbetter of 54 years, five sons, Albert Jr. Myers (Amanda), Dennis J. Ledbetter (Donna) of Monroe, NC, John Earl Williams, Ricky Ledbetter (Tina) of Polkton, NC and Ronnie Ledbetter of Cheraw, SC. One daughter of the home, Vickie P. Ledbettter. His grandson whom he loved dearly, Pierre Ledbetter and his three special granddaughters, Destiny Slater of the home, Amaya Myers and Alana Myers of Monroe, NC. Fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. One brother, Robert Myers; one uncle, Jerry Bennett, one sister-in-law, Geneva Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Services were held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, 3:30pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment followed in the family plot of Williams Cemetery, Polkton, North Carolina.
