Obituary For Mr. Curtis Risper Jr.

Mr. Curtis Risper, Jr. was born October 8, 1949 to the late Mrs. Annie Mae Little Risper and the late Mr. Curtis Risper, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He was educated in the Upson County School System and graduated from the R.E. Lee Institute. Accepting Christ as his personal savior, he joined the Mary Lizzie Baptist Church and was a faithful attendee. When Curtis reached his young adult years, he was trained as a maintenance worker. His skills would earn him employment with Farview Apartments, where he was employed for over forty years. He also worked at West Valley Apartments and Ruthie Manor Apartments. He enjoyed his work and serving the tenants. He mad friendships that lasted his lifetime by coming to their aid. During his leisure time, Curtis loved going to church and hearing the preached word of God; watching all sports, especially wrestling; buying and shopping for cars; and watching auto racing. He loved his family and friends dearly, and he was loved in return. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Risper. On Friday, May 21, 2021, the Lord called his name. He answered the call and went home to be at rest. His departure has saddened the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will remain forever. Curtis leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Mr. Bobby Risper of Griffin, GA and Mr. Aldine King of Thomaston, GA; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Jean (Maynard) White of Thomaston, GA; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Peggy Risper of Thomaston, GA and Mrs. Jeanette Risper of Griffin, GA; aunts and uncles, Mrs. Annie Sue Townsend of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Jennie Pearl Gaston of Detroit, MI, Mr. Shedwrich Risper Mrs. Christine Little, Mrs. Ida Little and Mrs. Dorothy Little all of Thomaston, GA; a devoted cousin, Mrs. Patricia Marshall of Thomaston, GA; four cousins who were more like brothers, Mr. Jeff Little, Mr. Jamie Little, Mr. Larry Little and Mr. Joseph Little; five devoted friends, Mr. Jeffery Middlebrooks, Mr. Kenny Cunningham, Mr. Ricky Dallas, Mr. Jeff Kirk and Mr. Willie Sparks; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service were held Friday, May 28, 2021 1:00 P.M. Mary Lizzie Baptist Church Interment Fellowship Cemetery
