Obituary For Ms. Kayla Middlebrooks
Ms. Kayla Bernice Middlebrooks, more affectionately known as "Kitty" and "Cookie," was born October 4, 1963 to the late Mrs. Alice Hollis Middlebrooks and the late Mr. Edward Middlebrooks in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. She was educated in the Upson County School system and graduated from the Upson High School. When Kitty reached adulthood, she became employed as a home care aid. She loved her job and taking care of the patients to whom she was assigned. She would later become employed with Standard Textiles. Kitty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved family gatherings and talking on the phone. Although she had no children, she would often claim her nieces and nephews as her own. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mr. Charlie Middlebrooks. On Sunday, May 23. 2021, the Lord called her name. She answered and her spirit took flight and went home to rest. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Kitty leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Mr. Luther (Cassandra) Middlebrooks of Thomaston, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Rowe and Mrs. Patricia Davison of Thomaston, GA; a cousin who was more like a brother, Mr. Terry (Naomi) Hollis of Yatesville, GA; a God-sister, Mrs. Mary (Stanley) Hudson of Roberta, GA; sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Middlebrooks of Thomaston, GA; aunts and uncles, Mr. James Middlebrooks of Philadelphia, PA, Ms. Clyde Middlebrooks and Ms. Mary Kate Middlebrooks both of Thomaston, GA and Mrs. Eddie Mae Hollis of Yatesville, GA; three devoted friends, Mrs. Lynn Bickley, Mrs. Mae Owens and Mrs. Miriam Elsey all of Thomaston, GA; and a host of loving and devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was held Sunday, May 30,2021 2:30 P.M. Mary Lizzie Baptist Church Interment Worthy Cemetery
