Obituary For Deshonda Monique Little

DeShonda Monique Little was born on September 4, 1990, in Charlotte, NC, to Deborah Harrington Little and Kenneth Little. She departed her life on May 31, 2021, at Clear Creek Nursing Facility, Mint Hill, NC.

DeShonda was educated in the Anson County Public Schools. She was affectionally known as Pie, which was given to her by her late great grandmother, Christine Parham who reared her along with her uncle, Curtis Harrington. She became a resident of the RHA Howell Center, Charlotte, NC five years ago.

DeShonda was baptized and became a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church in Morven, NC. She was loved by all that took care of her.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Lakesha Avery Little; grandmother, Margie McRae; grandfather, Dee Campbell and Daniel Harrington; great grandmothers, Christine Parham, Myrtle McRae and Katherine Little.

DeShonda leaves to cherish her loving memories, her parents, Deborah and step-father, Darwin Little of Chesapeake, VA, and Kenneth Little of Wadesboro, NC; three sisters, Portia Little and Kierra Little of Wadesboro, NC and Aysianna Little of Cheraw, SC; three brothers, Darrian Little of Newport News, VA, Jamire Little and Ma’Jore Little of Chesapeake, VA; two grandmothers Louise Little of Lilesville, NC and Ollie Little of Alabama; grandfather, Donnie McRae of High Point, NC; three nieces, Paris Steward and Autumn Bevins of Wadesboro, NC, London Little of Cheraw SC; one nephew, Jordan Little of Wadesboro, NC; two godmothers, Henrietta Sturdivant of Morven NC and Sovenia (Quentin) Bowman of Wadesboro, NC. A host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Homegoing Services will be on Friday, June 4, 2021, 1:00pm, in the Chapel of Smith’s Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, NC. Interment will be in the Family Plot of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Morven, NC.
