Obituary For Robert Virgil

OBITUARY

Mr. Robert James Virgil was born on April 12, 1950 to the late Mr. James Virgil, Sr. and Mrs. Sally Bighams Virgil. In their union, he was the fifth of ten siblings.

Robert was educated at Boston School and joined First A.B. Church at an early age. He resided and performed common labor work in Barwick, Georgia prior to failing health. Mr. Virgil passed from this earthly life on May 26, 2021 at Archbold Hospital.

Robert was preceded in death by four siblings, James Virgil, Jr., Willie B. Virgil, Sr., Ruby Burks, and Barry Virgil, Sr.

Robert leaves to cherish his loving memories: a daughter Jamelle Davis; grandchildren Christopher Davis and Tiatiana Ponder and one great grandchild Teyanna Ponder; five siblings Earnestine Christopher, Maggie Virgil and Mack Virgil of Barwick, GA, Doretha Lovett (Sammie), of Atlanta, GA and Sallie Dawson of Quitman, GA; brother-in-law, Jeremiah Burks and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

“God was walking through his Garden, He saw this one special flower that needed to be picked. Robert was that flower”.

A celebration of life will be Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Barwick Cemetery with Pastor Tarance Curry, eulogist. Continue to keep the family in your daily thoughts and prayers.
