Obituary For Clayton Richmond Sr.

Funeral ceremony for Clayton LaVaughn Richmond, Sr. 55, of Houston TX (formerly of Anniston) will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the chapel of Goodson Funeral Home with Bishop Jewell H. Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow immediately after service in Eden Hills Cemetery.

Viewing will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1pm-5pm at the chapel.

Clay was educated in the Anniston City School System, and was a graduate of the Anniston High School Senior Class of 1983. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

While living in Fayetteville, NC, he was employed by Onslow Memorial Hospital and Maaco Paint and Body Shop. He later moved to Houston, TX and made Houston his home. Clay will truly be missed, but never forgotten. Cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of his sons: Rodricus L. Beavers, of Atlanta, GA; and Caleb Richmond, of Houston TX; his daughters: Jakeia Richmond of Spring Lake, NC; DeAdra Brown, of Spring Lake, NC; and Lauren Richmond, of Houston, TX; his grandchildren: Andrew Lewis and Imani Noelle Beavers, of Atlanta, GA; sisters: Eunice L. (Jerry) Parker of Tuscaloosa, Al; Sandra L. Harleston ( Ronald Burr) of Houston, TX; Valerie K. Richmond-Patterson (Jerome) of Anniston, Al; Carol D. Richmond-Stephens (Harold) of Rainbow City, Al; Angela C. (Trini) Woods of Oxford, Al; Rosa L.(Tony) Macon of Anniston, Al; Teresa A. Richmond and Tera A. Richmond both of Anniston, Al; brothers: Michael E. (Tracy) Richmond, and Eric D. Richmond both of Anniston, Al; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends He was preceded in death by his son, Clayton LaVaughn Richmond, II, his parents, Edward and Martha Richmond, his grandmother, Lillie Mae Kirksey, a sister, Linda Joyce Bryant, and four brothers, James E.; Kenneth G; Timothy W; and Keith L.
