My fondest memory of Mom Marie is sitting in the kitchen and watching her whip up a meal and we just talk about any and everything. Or talking on the phone for hours laughing and delighting in each other's company. Most of all she considered me her daughter. During all, her strong faith in God showed through, in everything she did. I am thankful that God allowed our paths to cross because I am all the better going through this thing called life. My heartfelt sympathy is sent to Junior and his family. My prayer is that know that God will comfort them during this time and continue to bless for he honored his mother. Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. Love Always, Rev. Darlene Cooley & family

Our hearts are broken for and with the family of Mother Marie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Elias, Debbie, and family. Words cannot express the love and gratitude that my family and I have for Mother Marie. We know that we are truly blessed to have had her presence in our lives since my parents moved to Augusta in the 1960s; she was with us every step of the way. She demonstrated her love for God in the way she loved and treated others. Everything about her was beautiful-her smile, the way she spoke, the way she dressed, the way she kept her home, her cooking, and the way she loved. We know that God loved her best and that Mr. Wright, my dad, and sister and all her family were there to greet her when she arrived in her heavenly home. She is forever in our hearts! Shed No Tears She'd no tears, she would say For I am not dead,I'm just away I called on the Lord, So He answered and came To take me away to a place Where I'd feel no pain . My heart is at ease and I am at rest God took me home because He knew what was best He heard my cries And saw what you couldn't see He knew Heaven was where I needed to be. Don't worry about me , I am just fine Because victory is surely now all mine I 've fought my battle And I've finally won I've made it home To see my Savior, The Holy One.
