Obituary For Robert Lee Beach

Robert Lee Beach, Sr., 55, of Louisville died Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his sister’s home in Newburg.

Visitation 1-2:30 Saturday, June 5, 2021 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral to follow at 2:30pm.

On Saturday, October 9, 1965, the small town of Pee Wee Valley, Kentucky, welcomed its newest resident, Robert Lee Beach, Jr., who was born to his proud parents, Alberta Johnson and Robert Lee Beach, Sr. He was blessed to share his life with three other siblings, Linda, Marilyn, and Jerry. His spiritual foundation was solidified when he declared his faith and belief in Jesus Christ at a young age. His love for Jesus motivated him to share God’s Words with family and friends.

For many years, Robert worked for the Best Western Company. He also took up the trade of carpentry. Those carpentry skills of his, and that desire that he had to always give and do the absolute best that he could do with his building and restoring projects, always resulted in beautiful floors and decks for family, friends, and those who hired him based on word-of-mouth recommendations.

When family gatherings were held, everyone knew who would probably be the first one to arrive. If Robert wasn’t the first one there, he was somewhere close to being the first every time. Besides being so punctual, he also brought his bright smile, lots of laughter, and as much love as possible which he willingly gave to everyone.

Sadly, on Thursday, May 27, 2021, Robert was called home to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Jalisha Bailey; three grandchildren, Jazlynn Ellis, Kenyon Ellis and Jaion Bailey; two sisters, Linda Graves and Marilyn Beach; one brother, Jerry Beach; two nieces, six nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
