Obituary For Mr. Wayne Rich

Wayne Nathaniel Rich was called home on June 1, 2021 at his residence in Greensboro, NC. His funeral service will be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Woodard Funeral Home Chapel, with visitations start 30min prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will follow in Jackson United Methodist Church Cemetery.

He was born on July 26, 1948 to Benjamin and Ruthie Rich. He accepted the Lord and was a member of Jackson United Methodist Church.

He was United in Holy Matrimony to Linda Isley Rich who preceded him in death.

Wayne was educated at Brown Summit High School in Brown Summit, NC and graduated in 1966. He retired from both Lorillard Tobacco Company and Greensboro Transit Authority.

In his spare time Wayne enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends at Gillespie Golf Course.

We all love and admired Wayne so much. He meant a lot to us and will greatly be missed. We thank the Lord for his life and our time with him.

In addition to his wife Linda Isley Rich and his parents Benjamin and Ruthie Rich he was also preceded in death by his brother Ralph Rich and brother in law Gary Totten.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Rodney Rich (Maria) of Columbus, Ohio and Benjamin C. Rich; one daughter, Rosalind Rich of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Cynthia (Gary) Totten of McLeansville, NC and Pamela Rich of Greensboro, NC; stepdaughter, Kim (Thomas) Booker; three stepsons, Norman β€œTot”, Glen(Angie) and Chuck (Tonya) Kirkpatrick of Greensboro, NC; two nieces, Sheryl and Tracey Totten of Greensboro, NC and Adrian Rich of Gibsonville, NC. He also leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
