Bryant Anthony Bowman, 35, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Manning, SC. He was born July 2, 1985 in Manning, SC, a son of Betty J. Bowman Ragin and the late Lamont J Grant and stepson of Matthew L. Ragin. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Eliza “Mutt” Bowman.

His education was obtained in the public schools of Clarendon County. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. After leaving the Navy, he began to pursue his photography dreams along with his interest of drawing.

In his youth, he attend Friendship African Methodist Episcopal Church in Pinewood, South Carolina.

On Sunday morning, June 7, 2021, Bryant Anthony Bowman departed his life at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning, South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving mother, Betty Jo (Matthew) Ragin of Manning, SC; two daughters, Paris Bowman of Ohio and Samiah Love of Indiana; two brothers, Louis (Tamera) Ragin of Manning, SC and Lamont Grant, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; three sisters, Lamarra White, Shakima White and Shanikka White all of Brooklyn, NY; step paternal grandmother, Rosa Ragin of Manning, SC; great grand aunt, Carrie Lee Oliver of Manning, SC; godmother, Sharon Martin; special friend, Chyna Sanchez; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Bowman will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Friendship AME Church Cemetery, 6156 Furse Road, Pinewood, SC,

The family is receiving friends at the home of his parents, 6431 Tobias Road, Manning, SC.
